This is me, now.
Published by Laya under Administrivia on August 25, 2008I’m not even sure what number blog I am on now. I’ve had so many, and very few of them really made it off the ground.
The only thing I did keep consistently was my Livejournal. Somewhere along the way, I lost interest in that, even. I stopped posting, stopped reading other people’s posts. I love Livejournal for what it’s given me - especially the people I’ve met through it - and I may make the occasional friends-only post (in addition to cross-postng what I write here). But with all the drama that comes with LJ, and all the changes going on there, something in me decided that my LJ era was over.
So where does that leave me? In flux - ironically, the same place I’ve been for a long, long time. It’s been forever since I’ve felt really stable or centered…since I’ve felt like I have a place in the world that is mine and mine alone. I don’t mind that my life is constantly changing, but I do mind feeling untethered and completely lacking focus. It’s time for big changes.
So what’s this blog about? Well….me, mostly. My life. There are plenty of “value-added” blogs out there - places you can go and get great info or a new perspective or some life-changing piece of advice. When I come across those, I’ll probably say something here. But this is not one of those blogs. This is…my statement of intention to the Universe. A record of how I went from being “that girl” to “Laya”.
…with all sorts of other randomness thrown in. If I am anything, it is eclectic.
So pull up a chair. If something you read here helps you out, then that’s cool - that would make me happy, to know I said something that affected someone else.
